Shayona Tattoos: custom machine and handpoke tattoos by Shashi Prajapati, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai

Fourteen years on the road. Shashi started tattooing in 2010 and carried his machine wherever the work was: guest spots in Mysore, and a tattoo at the top of Khardung La, 17,582 ft, done out of a jeep. In January 2025 that road led home to his own studio in CBD Belapur.

His style. He calls it ornamental bio-organic: stone-carving and architectural ornament fused with fluid organic forms. He also does freehand dark work, black & grey, portraits, Polynesian, bold colour and cover-ups, by machine and by hand-poke.
