Shashi Prajapati started tattooing in 2010. He didn't have a studio. He had a jeep.
02 · On the road
For fourteen years
the studio
had wheels.
He drove to where the work was. Highways, hill towns, guest spots in Mysore. Wherever someone wanted ink, the Bolero stopped.
03 · Khardung La
17,582 ft.
January 2020. At the top of Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, he tattooed a client out of the back of the Bolero.
04 · The back of the jeep
Open the door.
That's the studio.
A ring light. A fold-out table. Machines, needles, inks. Everything a studio needs, packed behind the spare wheel.
